Celebrating One Year of Service: HELP Society is One Year Old!
14.12.2024 || Today marks a momentous occasion as we celebrate our First Foundation Day. HELP Society or Helping Everyone Live and Prosper Society, was founded on the 14th of December 2023 in Haflong, Dima Hasao. HELP Society was born out of a vision to empower communities, foster opportunities, and bring about meaningful change. Over the past year, we have worked tirelessly to transform this vision into reality, making a significant impact on countless lives through our dedicated efforts and innovative programs.
HELP Society’s journey began with a commitment to serve those in need and address the critical challenges faced by the community. Through Skill Development Programs, we have equipped individuals, especially women, with the tools and knowledge to build sustainable livelihoods. Programs like Candle Making Training, and Soap Making Training have not only enhanced entrepreneurial skills but also contributed to the empowerment of women.
Environmental conservation has been at the heart of our initiatives. Through tree plantation drives, awareness campaigns, and collaborations with organizations, we have actively worked to protect and nurture the environment. Additionally, our Youth Engagement Initiatives, including educational programs, and events like Trivia Fest, have fostered creativity, and leadership among young people.
HELP Society has also prioritized raising awareness about critical social issues. Over the year, we have conducted impactful Awareness Campaigns on mental health, child protection, and drug addiction, collaborating with health professionals and law enforcement to reach a wider audience. Our participation in events like World Suicide Prevention Day and Anti-Drug Awareness Camps has helped shine a light on these important topics and encouraged positive change.
At the core of HELP Society’s efforts is a strong sense of community service. Whether through organizing free training programs, food donation drives, or collaborating with other organizations, we have always sought to uplift the underserved and foster hope. Each initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive and prosperous society.

A Celebration Amidst Nature: Trek to Mt. Sielkal Peak
To honor this milestone, Team HELP Society embarked on a memorable trek to the majestic Mt. Sielkal Peak (Tumjang) on the 15th of December 2024. This trek was not just a celebration of our First Foundation Day but also a powerful symbol of our commitment to fostering friendship, trust, and teamwork.
The trek to Tumjang Peak was as much about the journey as it was about the destination. With each step, we shared laughter, exchanged stories, and overcame physical challenges together. The trek embodied the essence of HELP Society’s spirit—a family united by a shared purpose to make a difference. It reminded us that just like in our work, success lies not only in reaching the summit but in the relationships we build and the experiences we share along the way.
The serene beauty of Mt. Sielkal Peak (Tumjang) served as the perfect backdrop for reflection and inspiration. As the sun cast its golden glow over the landscape, it illuminated the path we’ve traveled as an organization. The trek was a moment to pause, connect with nature, and appreciate the progress we’ve made over the past year.
Inaugurating HELP Society’s Official Flag
The highlight of this memorable journey came when we reached the peak and inaugurated the official flag of the HELP Society. With pride and gratitude, we hoisted the Tricolor, symbolizing our unwavering dedication to the community and our commitment to the values that guide us. It was a powerful and emotional moment, marking not just the end of a trek but the beginning of another year of service and impact.
It reinforced the bonds among the team and reminded us of the strength we draw from one another. As we descended from the peak, our hearts were filled with renewed determination to continue our mission of creating a better tomorrow.
As we climbed together, shared stories, and supported each other through challenges, we celebrated not just the achievement of reaching the peak but also the unity that defines HELP Society.
