30.10.2024 || HELP Society Raises Awareness on Drug Addiction and Substance Abuse Among Youth in Haflong. Helping Everyone Live and Prosper Society, in partnership with Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Haflong, Dima Hasao, conducted a powerful Awareness and Education Programme on Drug Addiction and Substance Abuse. Held on the 30th of October 2024, at Fiangpui Higher Secondary School, Haflong, The programme aimed to draw attention to the urgent need for educational initiatives combatting the rising tide of substance abuse among youth. The programme not only educates the students but also empowers them with the tools and knowledge necessary to resist the allure of drugs.
The program featured a series of expert talks from esteemed professionals in the field. Dr. Ronald Bathari, and Dr. Jubilee Darnei, who have extensive experience in addressing issues related to mental health and substance abuse, delivered impactful presentations that resonated with the audience. They shared critical insights into the severe mental and physical consequences of drug abuse, detailing how addiction can devastate individuals’ lives and disrupt the fabric of families and communities.
